When your air conditioner needs more than regular maintenance, our well-trained technician will do the following to your air conditioning system.
ELECTRICAL
Inspect Capacitors, Relays, electric terminals, clean and tighten connections, and apply a non-conductive coating if necessary
INSPECT EVAPORATOR COIL
The air conditioner’s evaporator coil collects dirt over its months and years of service. A monthly filter replacement prevents the evaporator coil from soiling quickly. In time, however, the evaporator coil will still collect dirt. This dirt reduces airflow and insulates the coil, reducing its ability to absorb heat. To avoid this problem, have your evaporator coil checked by a professional service technician every 6 months and have it cleaned as necessary.
INSPECT EVAPORATOR DRAIN
Check the evaporator drain to make sure it isn’t clogged and is draining properly. Flush the main drain line. Clogged evaporator drain lines prevent a unit from reducing humidity, resulting in excess unhealthy moisture and possible water damage from leaks.
THERMOSTAT
Check the accuracy & adjust the thermostat if necessary.
INSPECT AND CLEAN CONDENSER
Outdoor condenser coils can also become very dirty if the outdoor environment is dusty and/or if there is foliage nearby. Dirt can easily collect on the condenser coil fins. Checking your evaporator coil, having it cleaned, and draining the flush every 6 months is necessary to maintain proper efficiency.
INSPECT COOLANT LEVELS & PRESSURE
Check for the correct amount of refrigerant, test for refrigerant leaks (condensing and evaporating) using a leak detector. Refrigerant leaks will reduce the efficiency of the unit & can also be harmful to the environment.
INSPECT OUTDOOR DISCONNECT, CONDENSER FAN MOTOR & BLADES
INSPECT COMPRESSOR AT STARTUP
INSPECT CONDENSER AND AIR HANDLER CABINET FOR CORROSION
